Paul has an Honours Degree in Creative Design with Education from Loughborough University.
Having miraculously survived his boyhood passion for making and firing crossbows, Paul has gone on to work in metals, woods, glass, plastics, locksmithing, dry stone walling, hedgelaying, boatbuilding, gunsmithing, slate roofing, basket making, clay, forgework, casting, leaded glass, furniture making, glass fibre, plaster and more recently, a fascination with complex concrete forms including copies of Roman pottery.
Past work includes stage weaponry for the Star Wars film Return of the Jedi and metalworking restoration for The National Trust, examples at Egryn near Barmouth and Plas Newydd.
Paul's recent work includes a commission for The Black Ruby, a fine Pirate Ship for his youngest ever two customers, total age eight. This project has a working cannon, pirate grave (with hidden gold of course), carved skull and much more.
Paul shares his partner's home near Arthog, and falls in love anew each day as the dawn reveals the Mawddach Estuary.
