Nick was born in the North West in 1960 and has spent all of his life drawing and painting. After spending most of his childhood in and around Aberdyfi, Nick studied at Chester School of Art then gained a first class BA (Hons) degree from Wolverhampton Polytechnic, and a Masters Degree in Design at Manchester Polytechnic.
Between 1983 and 2007 Nick worked in London as a designer in industry, designing furniture, shops, hotels and restaurants culminating in 6 years running a successful design consultancy specialising in the leisure industry.
In 2007, with his wife and daughter, he opted out of the London rat-race and moved back to North Wales for an altogether better quality of life. Living in the hills of Snowdonia in an old farm house, he is now able to fully focus on painting and drawing.
On moving to Wales, Nick joined the Aberdyfi Art Society and, more recently, the Meirionnydd Artists Society. Nick was a founder member of The Dyfi Arts Guild, Machynlleth. In 2011 he was invited to join CRYD, a group of local professional artists.
