Ruth Koffer

Ruth Koffer has exhibited her paintings and drawings across the UK for nearly 30 years, with notable solo exhibitions at Aberystwyth Arts centre and Moma Machynlleth. A graduate of the University of Brighton, Ruth's practice is rooted in expressive drawing - a discipline she uses to navigate a dance between observation and emotion.

Her work is held in prestigious public collections, including the National library of Wales and is deeply informed by her environment; most recently, a residency at Portmeirion provided the architectural and coastal inspiration for her latest body of work.

Alongside her studio practice, Ruth is a carer for a fellow artist, a role that informs her perspective on creativity, mindfulness and resilience.
